Forbidden Fruit: An Interview

Interview by a fan of volume I.  Date: September 21, 2019

How would I summarize the book ?

You might say, Love ain't easy...and neither is being a Christian.

Warning: This book uses real life difficulties in real life situations to show a very personal Christian journey.

Forbidden Fruit: The Bloom

A Parable on controversial issues against the age old question: God's will or mine?

Akelo believes he doesn’t need God in his life. He has everything under control…until he doesn’t. His life begins to fall apart in all the ways he most took pride in. He falls in love for the first time and is drawn to a woman who is very much like himself; driven, confident, strong…but white. For the first time in his life he wants something more than just to win and logic no longer concerns him. But where will his choices take him and will he recognize himself when every fight he faces for the sake of love changes who he is.

Purpose:

This book helps new or young Christians explore fundamental questions about Christianity through allegories and symbolism on issues of sex, violence, pride, material success and race relationships against the core questions on trusting God’s plan.

A Word from the Author:

Without intending to, I wrote a parable.  On the surface, Forbidden Fruit alludes to relationships that come with built-in problems.  However, there is a deeper meaning for you to consider.

The most unbelievable thing to me about this book....God used my own words to preach a message to me.  I always believed God to be a force of unimaginable power.  After finishing this book and being asked questions at a book signing, I realized that God is also in the details....of my very life.   I also realized that I don't have to be happy with my circumstances to be grateful for every moment of my life and for the people that are in it.  This is my first book in a series of parable works.  Let's see what else God has up his sleeve!

Forbidden Fruit: The Harvest and the Pruning

The Conclusion

The action-packed, conflict filled conclusion to the book that broke the mold.  Our main character will have to fight for love as influences in his life pull him farther and farther from the person he thought he would be.   This book features an ending that will cause you to question many things in your own beliefs about love and prudence.

You'll never guess the ending!
